On September 27, 2024, Ningbo Xusheng Group Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “Xusheng Group”) signed a cooperation agreement with Shanghai Jiaotong University (hereinafter referred to as ‘SJTU’) at the headquarters of Xusheng Group to jointly establish the "Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU) - Ningbo Xusheng Group Co. (hereinafter referred to as “Xusheng Group”) and the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (hereinafter referred to as “Shanghai Jiao Tong University”) signed a cooperation agreement at Xusheng Group's headquarters, to jointly establish the "Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Materials Science and Engineering - Ningbo Xusheng Group Co. This cooperation marks the in-depth cooperation between the two sides in the field of light alloy materials, aiming to promote technological innovation and talent cultivation.
The signing ceremony was held at Xusheng Group's headquarter, with representatives from both sides attending the ceremony.Mr. Xu Xudong, Chairman of Xusheng Group, and Mr. Peng Liming, Distinguished Professor of Shanghai Jiaotong University, took part in the unveiling ceremony, and leaders from related departments were invited to attend.
Mr. Xu Xudong, Chairman of Xusheng Group, said at the ceremony, “This cooperation will bring new technological breakthroughs for Xusheng Group and jointly promote the development of light alloy material technology.” For his part, Prof. Peng Liming of Shanghai Jiaotong University pointed out, “The School of Materials of Shanghai Jiaotong University will work hand in hand with Xusheng Group to transform scientific research results into practical applications and contribute to industrial innovation.”
The joint research center will rely on SJTU's disciplinary advantages in the field of materials science and engineering, combined with Xusheng Group's industrial needs in the manufacture and application of light alloy materials, to jointly carry out scientific research and development, personnel training and technical exchanges. This cooperation will help accelerate the development of magnesium and aluminum alloy technology, promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and contribute to the construction of national and local innovation system.
